Preppy TikTok (or 2020s Preppy) is the early-2020s TikTok and Pinterest aesthetic that surged among preteen and tween girls from 2022, sharing little but the name with traditional Ivy-League-coded Preppy. The visual identity is bright pink, smileys, Lilly Pulitzer-coded patterns, ribbons, bows, athleisure (Lululemon belt bags, Aviator Nation), pink Stanley Quencher tumblers (often with custom name plates), Drunk Elephant and Sephora-kid skincare, Owala water bottles, and brands like Brandy Melville, Skims and Aritzia. The Stanley Quencher and Lululemon belt bag are the iconic status objects; the broader phenomenon is tied to the 'Sephora kid' moment, in which preteens engaged complex luxury-skincare routines. Despite the name, this has effectively no relationship to Brooks Brothers / Old Money preppy — it's a separate Gen Alpha aesthetic.
